Dax is a
promising young German shepherd.
Even though he's quite big (64,5) he's very fast and manoeuvrable.
Dax's tracking is beautiful to watch:
right speed,
he searches for his reward step by step.
When it comes to obedience, he's a bit harder to train than Zor , Dax needs
a lot of time and training and being a full time
workman myself,this is not always possible.
Due to this lack of time everything will take a bit longer with him.
Protection work is his absolute favourite. , at full speed he goes
out to search for the helper and entusiastically barks at the helper in the blind.
His bite is full , and hard.
Also his long attack is spectacular.

On saterday, March 3 2007 dax gained his U.V. at Zonhoven. Running next to a bike for 20km in the pouring rain didn't bother him at all.

Dax gained SchH 1 : 90-94-94
His tracking was beautiful , but at the end he forgot to lie down on the last object = -10 points.
Obedience , which I feared most , turned out better than expected.
A few remarks: sitting down should be quicker - when calling him, he sat a bit sideways in front of me -
he touched me with the apport - he didn't sit totally correct on foot , again more sideways - when running forward,
he should lie down more quickly.
But most of all, I was very satisfied with his quick apports.
His protection work started off wrong, he broke out and immediately ran to the last blind = -3 points.
In the blind he touched the arm 2 time. Dax's bites were full and the long attack was very fast.

Dax gained SchH 2 : 96-87-96
His tracking was very good,but he pointed one false object : -3 points.
Dax really enjoyed it, his following can be more correct, sitting down schould be a
little bit quicker, laying down was good.
He lost 8 points with the stay exercise by not reacting to the command. After a
little help of Charel he stayed but immediately sat down after that.
The apports were OK.
His protection work was very nice to see, pity he lost 3 points because he only

Dax passed by the second object : -7 points.
When obedience started , Dax only had protection work on his mind so he lost the whole 10 points because he didn't follow at all.
Charel had to call him to order a few times, or Dax would have run to the blind on the field.
After the sitting , everything went smoothly..
This time Dax came out of the blind on the first command. The long attack was very spectacular.
He lost 1 point because, after his last bite, he looked at Charel for 1 second when he joined him.

On 29/04 we went to the vet in Jupille S/M with Dax because he limped and he gasped a lot , even though it was not warm outside. His apport didn't run smoothly anymore either. Result : small fracture in the joint of his knee and a severe infection in the other , which he's running around with for quite some time already. The vet has good hopes that everything will be OK. So Dax is not training for a while right now.
